Zimba Marimba Band Association and African Music United welcome you to our SUMMER CAMP 10-14 August 2010,
Varberg Kulturskolan, Sweden

Zimba Marimba's Summer Camp 2010 at Varbergs Culture school on the West Coast of Sweden is open to all marimba players. This year we are joining hands with another exciting project, African Music United! Together we want to offer you a way to learn more about the wonderful music of Zimbabwe and West Africa and of course have lots of fun with all the new marimba friends you'll make from Sweden, Norway Iceland, and hopefully even South Africa and USA. We'll be focusing on learning more about marimba, dance and drumming from our great teachers, many of whom we hope will come from Zimbabwe, South Africa and West Africa, and of course enjoying ourselves in the beautiful town of Varberg. Lots of workshops and concerts, long sunlit evenings on the beach and time to meet new friends. Our last Summer Camp was a great success with 160 participants. PLACE
Varbergs Kulturskola. You can also check out www.varberg.se to see what a lovely place Varberg is in the summer time.

COST
YOUTH - 1800sek includes accommodation, food and workshops.
ADULTS - 1500sek plus accommodation (approx 240-395sek per night/per person in Vandrahem Fästningen).

ACCOMMODATION
We'll be staying in a nearby school so that everyone can be together which is much more fun. So you will need to bring a sleeping bag, a pillow and a comfy matress.

MEALS
3 simple meals a day will be served.

The selection of teachers is not confirmed yet.
