ZIMBA MARIMBA SUMMER CAMP
13-16 SEPTEMBER, 2012

Zimba Marimba's Summer Camp 2012 with 165 participants from Iceland, Sweden and Norway will be held this year in Husavik Iceland. Tónlistarskóli in Husavik will host the Summer Camp and provide a fantastic venue for our exciting innovative African music programs. Fortunately once again our project has received generous funding from the Nordic Culture Fund and African Music United! In partnership with all our funders, Zimba Marimba Band Association will provide great opportunities to learn more about the wonderful music of Zimbabwe and West Africa. We'll be focusing on learning marimba, dance and drumming from our great teachers from Zimbabwe and West Africa. There will be lots of workshops and concerts and maybe even whale watching!
